Privacy Policy

The short version: this site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter, and no forms. Everything you type into a calculator here stays in your browser and is never transmitted to me. The only meaningful data collection happens through third-party services — advertising and analytics — and this page explains exactly what those do and how to switch them off.

1. Who is responsible for this site

My Baby Sleep Schedule is an independent site run by one person, Sukie Gao, reachable at sukielovesupport@gmail.com. There is no company behind it, no staff, and no data team. For anything in this policy — including a request to delete data — that address is the contact point.

2. What the site itself collects: nothing

I do not operate a database. There is no sign-up, no comment system, no quiz that emails you results, and no contact form. I never ask for your name, your email, your baby’s date of birth, or anything else identifying.

The calculators and schedule tools on this site run entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. When you enter your baby’s age or a wake-up time, that value is used to compute what you see on screen and then it is gone when you close the tab. It is not sent to a server, not logged, and not stored on any system I control. If a tool remembers a setting between visits it does so in your browser’s own local storage, on your device, and clearing your browser data erases it.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like essentially every web host, Vercel processes standard technical request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, referring page — in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. I do not use these logs to build profiles of readers and I do not attempt to identify anyone from them. This processing is covered by Vercel’s own privacy policy as a processor acting on my behalf.

4. Advertising: Google AdSense and the DART cookie

This site is designed to be supported by display advertising served through Google AdSense, and no advertising is served until that integration is live. Where AdSense is active on a page, the following applies.

I have no visibility into which specific ads you are shown and no ability to see any individual reader’s advertising profile. I receive only aggregate revenue reporting. I also do not control which advertisers bid; if you ever see an ad on this site that is deceptive, offensive, or inappropriate next to content about infants, please tell me and I will report and block it.

5. Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Where required by law, readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any non-essential cookie is set, delivered through a Google-certified consent management platform in line with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. If you decline, personalised advertising cookies are not set. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the privacy or consent control in the page footer or via your browser settings.

6. Analytics

I use privacy-conscious traffic analytics to understand which pages get read and where they underperform — for example, whether people leave a schedule page immediately because it did not answer their question. Where Google Analytics 4 is used, IP addresses are handled according to Google’s current anonymisation behaviour and I do not enable advertising-personalisation features within it.

I look at this data in aggregate only: page views, rough geography at country level, device type, and referring source. I have never tried to identify an individual reader and would not know how to from what I see. You can block analytics entirely with any standard content blocker or by enabling “Do Not Track” alongside a blocker; the site works identically with analytics blocked.

Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools also report which search queries led people here. That data arrives already aggregated and anonymised — it shows queries and counts, never people.

7. Affiliate links: currently none

At the time of writing, this site serves no affiliate links of any kind. No Amazon Associates tags, no commission links, no sponsored product placements, no paid reviews. If you click an outbound link on this site today it goes to a source I am citing — usually the AAP, the AASM, NICHD, or the CDC — and I earn nothing from it.

If that ever changes, this policy will be updated on the same day the first affiliate link goes live, a visible disclosure will appear on every page carrying such links, and the change will be dated in section 11 below. I am not going to slip it in quietly.

8. Embedded content and outbound links

Some pages link to YouTube, including my own channel. Following a link to YouTube, or loading an embedded video, allows Google to set cookies and collect data under its own policies, exactly as if you had gone to YouTube directly. The same is true of every external site I cite: once you leave mybabysleepschedule.com, that site’s privacy policy governs, not this one.

9. Children

This site is written for adults caring for infants. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold). Because the site collects no personal information from anyone, this is largely a formality — but if you believe a child has somehow provided personal data through this site, write to me and I will investigate and delete it.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws — including rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because I hold no reader database, the practical scope is narrow: the only personal data I ever hold is an email you chose to send me.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top changes with it and the substance of the change is noted here. Minor wording fixes are not logged. The current version is the first published version, effective 20 July 2026.
