Terms of Use

The condition that matters most: My Baby Sleep Schedule is general information published by a parent, not a clinician. Nothing here is medical advice, and using this site does not create any professional relationship. If you are not willing to use the site on that basis, please stop reading and talk to your pediatrician instead.
By visiting mybabysleepschedule.com you agree to the terms below. They are written in plain language on purpose — a document nobody can read is not consent, it is decoration. If something here is unclear, ask me at sukielovesupport@gmail.com before relying on the site.
1. What this site is
My Baby Sleep Schedule publishes free, general-audience information about infant sleep: age-band schedules, wake-window estimates, explanations of commonly discussed patterns like nap transitions and regressions, and calculators that perform simple arithmetic on those published ranges. It is an editorial site. It is not a healthcare service, a telehealth product, a sleep-training program, or a substitute for professional care.
2. No medical advice, and no professional relationship
Sukie Gao is a parent who researches and writes about infant sleep. She is not a physician, nurse, midwife, lactation consultant, or certified sleep consultant, and holds no clinical qualification. Reading this site, using its calculators, or emailing her does not create a doctor-patient, consultant-client, or any other professional relationship.
Content here is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and must not be used as a basis for delaying or declining professional advice. Always consult your pediatrician or another qualified health provider with questions about your child’s sleep, feeding, development, or health, and never disregard something they told you because of something you read here. If you believe your child is experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
3. How to treat the numbers
Every schedule, wake window, nap count and total-sleep figure on this site is a population-level estimate drawn from published guidance, principally the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s pediatric sleep duration consensus and commonly cited pediatric sources. Those ranges describe what is typical across many children. They do not describe your child, and they are not clinical thresholds.
The calculators do arithmetic, nothing more. Enter an age and a wake-up time, and they return times derived from those published ranges. They do not assess your baby, they cannot know whether a result is appropriate for your situation, and a result outside a printed range is not a diagnosis of anything. Treat every output as a starting point for observation and a conversation with your pediatrician — never as an instruction.
On safe sleep specifically — sleep surface, position, bedding, room-sharing, and related practices — this site deliberately does not compete with the primary authorities. It links out to the AAP and to NICHD’s Safe to Sleep instead. Please follow those links and follow their guidance over anything implied here.
4. Accuracy, and the limits of it
I make a real effort to be accurate: numbers are sourced, sources are linked inline, and pages get reviewed. Details of that process are on the editorial process page. But guidance changes, links rot, sources get revised, and I make mistakes. The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
I do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and I may change, move, or remove any page at any time without notice.
5. Third-party links and advertising
This site links to external sources and may display advertising served by Google AdSense. I do not control external sites and do not endorse their content, products, claims, or privacy practices merely by linking. Advertising is selected by Google’s systems, not by me; an ad appearing on a page is not a recommendation. As of the effective date of these terms this site carries no affiliate links and earns no commissions. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.
6. Copyright and what you may reuse
All original text, charts, tables, code, calculator logic, illustrations and the My Baby Sleep Schedule name and logo are © Sukie Gao and are protected by copyright. You may not republish this site’s content in bulk, scrape it, mirror it, or repackage it into another site, newsletter, app, or dataset, including as training material for machine-learning systems, without written permission.
What you are welcome to do without asking:
- Link to any page here, from anywhere, including commercial sites.
- Quote a short excerpt — up to roughly 100 words — with clear attribution and a working link back to the page you took it from.
- Print any schedule or chart for your own household, your childcare provider, or your family. That is what they are for.
- Share a page in a parenting group, forum, or group chat.
For anything broader — reproducing a full chart in a book, an app, or a commercial publication — write to me and ask. The answer is often yes.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site: no automated scraping at volume, no attempts to bypass or overload hosting, no injecting code, no impersonating Sukie Gao or this site, and no using the content to imply a medical endorsement that does not exist. Reasonable, well-behaved crawling by search engines is welcome and expected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sukie Gao and My Baby Sleep Schedule are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything on it — including decisions made about a child’s sleep, routine, or environment on the basis of content published here. You use this site at your own discretion and risk.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions of warranty or limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sukie Gao from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your republication of content from this site in violation of section 6.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. When they are, the effective date at the top changes, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept the updated version. If a change is significant — for instance if this site ever begins carrying affiliate links — it will be flagged visibly and not buried.
11. Severability and contact
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Questions about anything above go to sukielovesupport@gmail.com, or via the contact page. You may also want to read who is behind this site before deciding how much weight to give it — and the free tools themselves are all on the homepage.
